Microblading the the latest and greatest permanent makeup procedure to have hit the market. It gives the most natural looking 3D hairstrokes to mimic real hairs. Ink is deposited into the skin using a microblading pen. The procedure typically takes 2-3 hours depending on the artist and clients skin adaptability to the procedure.

Who is a perfect candidate for microblading?

Anyone 18+ is a candidate for microblading. The target audience would be gradual hair loss or spares thinning, and/or light hairs on brow area. Or if you simply want a more defined, shaped, and fuller looking brows this is perfect for you.

Do we numb the skin prior to the procedure?

Absolutely! We use a numbing cream called #Zensa or #DrNumb and leave it on sanitized skin for 25-35 minutes. It helps discomfort and ease of pain during procedure. We also do a mid procedure numbing with lidocaine liquid or gel to help with redness, swelling, sensitivity as well as intensify the first numbing cream applied. This is done after we puncture skin so it will deposit quicker and last until the procedure is done. (If you have any allergies to makeup or topical ointments, please let us know ahead of time to protect you from any out breaks)

What is the healing process and post care?

This is the most critical part to follow when you get "any" permanent makeup procedures done. Without the proper post procedure guidance -- your retention won't be as great. At Skinfinity Clinic NB we provide a post procedure card and aftercare ointment to help you protect your brows and have the appropriate details to care for them. Remember, your brows won't be fully healed until you complete the 1st cycle of 4 weeks. It is recommended to come back between 4-8 weeks to perform a perfecting session so we can fill in any areas that didn't take that well. As well as address any changes you'd like to add. For more post procedure details you can click on our website under FAQ' / POST CARE. When in doubt, always contact us directly via email or text/call.

Is the Ink used safe for the skin?

Our clients health and well being is our top priority. Thats why we invest in the highest level grade products in the permanent makeup world. Our ink is designed specifically for Permanent Makeup Procedures and all organic. It is not tested on animals and is cruelty free, vegan, and safe for all skin types including sensitive. We use a line called Permablend which is internationally known and used by most permanent makeup salons, spas, or studios.

How long will it last and how many times do I have to get it done?

The retention is going to depend on the age, lifestyle habits, and how you care for your new brows post procedure. On average, semi permanent makeup treatments last from 12 month to 3 years. If you have oily skin, it can fade a lot sooner. We do suggest people with oily skin to consider an alternative method like Microshading where we combine both microblading and tattoo shading of pigment to achieve best results and will last longer.

How to prepare prior to your microblading session

The most important thing to remember is that this is a permanent makeup procedure and essentially puncturing the dermis layer of the skin which is the second layer. To avoid more sensitivity and excess bleeding we ask clients to stay away from taking fish oil, omegas, and vitamins 72 hours prior to procedure. Also refrain from drinking alcohol or coffee prior to procedure. There are also contraindications to be aware of and you need to check and see if you are a candidate for permanent makeup.
